The Obama Presidential Center Exhibition Design Team along with the Obama Foundation hosted a "Studio Block" Open House on January 15, 2018 from 4pm-7pm. The open house introduced the Exhibition Design Team working on the Museum of the Obama Presidential Center to the neighborhood community. The team had a great time meeting, discussing the project, hearing feedback and interacting with guest of all ages. Keep an eye out for future Obama Presidential Center community events to participate in!
Norman Teague, Blakhaus, and Jennifer Park, Jurassic Studio, have teamed up on an exhibit for the School of the Art Institute and the Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects (AIADO).
AIADO at 10 brings together alumni, students, and faculty to reflect on our past and to imagine, and enact, our future.
Our exhibit attempts to gauge and represent the political stature of our built environment titled "Our Great, Great Wall." The exhibit will be on display on the 12th floor of the Sullivan Center from March 23 - April 27, 2018.

On Dec. 13, Jennifer will be on the "Shattered" panel at Niles West High School and hosted by DECA to empower and motivate young business women. Excited to help break the glass ceiling one girl at a time!
Jennifer Park of Jurassic Studio was thrilled to participate in the inaugural 2017 Obama Foundation Summit. Two days were filled with motivating speakers, including Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Prince Harry, just to name a few, and amazing leaders and change makers from around the world. We were treated to a little rap session by Lin Manuel and Common and a concert hosted by Chance the Rapper. Jennifer, in conjunction with fellow members of the Obama Presidential Center Exhibition Design Team, help to host one of the Summit Breakout session during which ideas were shared on the topic of "Designing a Museum for a Presidential Center." The Summit exuded a sense of positivity, connectivity and empowerment. In a time where the world feels divided, the summit reminded us in that the world is filled with good and, ultimately, that is what unites us.
Jennifer has been nominated to the Executive Committee of the Chicago AIA Board of Directors in the position of Treasurer. Her position will be held till 2019. Jennifer is looking forward to contributing her experience and enthusiasm in the practice and teaching of architecture to helping promote our professional field.

Jennifer Park in collaboration with Civic Projects is honored to be part of the Exhibition and Interpretive Design team for the Obama Presidential Center.
Ralph Appelbaum Associates will lead the exhibition design team which includes several Chicago firms and designers. Among them are Civic Projects (Monica Chada), Jurassic Studio (Jennifer Park), Normal (Renata Graw), Amanda Williams, Norman Teague, and Andres Hernandez. The exhibition team will work closely with the Obama Foundation and the architects, Billie Tsien Todd Williams, on the design for the Presidential Center sited in Jackson Park. The Obama Presidential Center is slated to open in 2021.
The winter 2015 issue of MAS Context: Hidden will feature Jurassic Studio's work on the Burnham Prize.
This issue explores the aspects of our built environment that are hidden, overlooked, not readily apparent, forgotten, and conceptually of physically removed from our sight, whether intentionally or not. CAF’s ambitious new exhibition features 50 transformative proposals for building a better Chicago, presented by 50 of the city’s top architecture and design firms.
In celebration of CAF’s 50th anniversary, CAF asked 50 designers to create transformative proposals aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in each of Chicago’s 50 wards. Seeking inspiration and answers about how we might grow, enhance and improve present conditions, the designers studied all elements of our city—streets, bridges, buildings, waterways, vacant lots and everything in between.
The “50 Designers, 50 Ideas, 50 Wards” exhibition opens May 24, 2016, in the CAF Atrium Gallery at 224 S. Michigan Avenue.
Jennifer Park was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Chicago AIA. Her term begins on January 2016. Jennifer hopes to use her diverse professional experience to bring greater awareness to those interested in the profession of architecture.
Jennifer Park and Fazia Uppal of Jurassic Studio win the 2015 Burnham Prize Competition: Currencies of Architecture. The competition was hosted by the Chicago Architectural Club in affiliation with the Chicago Architecture Biennial. The work addresses the theme of the biennial: what is the state of the art of architecture? The work will be on display at the Chicago Architecture Foundation Gallery 1st Floor located at 224 S Michigan Ave Chicago, IL 60604.
Jennifer begins teach a Cloud Studio this fall at IIT where she is an adjunct professor. Cloud Studio is a graduate level option studio. Her topic of research is "The Image of Sharing" in which students will explore the rise of the Shared Economy and it's effect on our cities. Students will design proposals for Chicago and travel to Mexico City to design a comparative proposals.
